Introducing the

SM2400 MODEM SOC

The SM2400 is a multiprotocol chip for communications over powerline (PLC) that implements all common OFDM standards including IEEE 1901.2, G3-PLC, and PRIME.  The device is fully programmable to provide robust communications modulations selectable to include BPSK, QPSK, 8PSK and coherent 16QAM up to 500kpbs.  It is a single-chip that integrates PHY, MAC and supporting A/D’s, D/A’s and amplifiers.

The SM2400 PLC module is a complete board that utilizes all the modes and features of the SM2400 and can be used to immediately connect to the powerline or other media for immediate communication in many PLC standard modes.   It is designed to work seamlessly with the Semitech evaluation and development kits.

SM2400 PLC+RF Reference Design

The SM2400 PLC+RF Reference Design module is a complete board that implements a full powerline communication interface and as well as an integrated a radio for short range, modest bandwidth communication.  This module can be used as a bridge between RF and PLC or simultaneously connect to both networks
